DBSK @ FNS Awards 2009 (12/2)

I flicked through soompi and saw that they won an award for ‘Stand By U’ (totally deserved, this is one of my favorite songs this year ♥), which puts them into competition for some kind of Grand Prix prize :D.  But ah seriously, it’s enough for me to see them performing together.  I wish they looked (or were) happier, though :(.  The interview was still pretty awkward but at least it wasn’t only Yunho talking this time XD.   I thought the performances of ‘Rainy Blue’ and ‘Stand By U’ were really well done ♥♥♥♥♥.

DBSK On ‘Best Hits 2009′ (11/26)

Dammit, I was really looking forward to this, to seeing them stand together as five.  BUT.  This is like the most awkward and tensest interview I’ve ever seen them do.   I don’t know if I’m reading too much into it but … dude, Changmin’s practically hiding behind Yunho and there’s a huge gap between him and Jaejoong.  Plus Jaejoong’s expression throughout the whole video is pretty depressing :X.  UGH.   I first became obsessed with this group because of their incredible group dynamics and I really hope they haven’t lost that :(((((((.   Cause that wouldn’t be the group I fell in love with.

I’ll edit with a link to their performance, which I hope will be so good and typical of them that it will squash this interview from my memory, lol.  But when would they have had time to practice D:.

♥ Stand By U.   TOO FREAKING SHORT FOR SUCH A GORGEOUS SONG!  WTH :(.  (Did all the other artists sings abridged versions of their songs?)   They sound good, but I can’t help but think there’s something lacking about this performance.  It sounds … subdued?   I loved Junsu’s ‘Oh, oh, oh, oh” at the end though.  And YAY for the crowd being so supportive!

That and all the boycotting/political stuff going on (a lot of the groups and artists that were responsible for some of the biggest kpop hits in 2009 aren’t here), there were some pretty good performances this year!    Thanks so much to everyone who sent in information and links, especially fruityrose, who pretty much sent all the links you see here hahahaha!

DBSK ‘Break Out’ Preview

Here’s a 15 second preview for DBSK’s 29th Japanese Single, ‘Break Out’, to be released on January 27, 2010.  It’s a while from now, but still something definitely to look forward to!!   It’s great to see that, even though their Korean activities seem to still be up in the air, they’ll continue their normal activities in Japan under Avex :).  Looking forward to seeing them promote as a group of five again!!
