MBC Star Dance Battle (1/25)

(Sorry if this gif kills your computers but this was one of my favorite parts of the entire show XDD.  Saved it off of soompi!)

Lee Hwee Jae’s team: 2PM, Wonder Oops, Seungri, KARA, Kim Shin Young, Jewelry, VOS, Lee Yoon Suk, SS501.
Shin Jung Hwan’s team:  SHINee, A Bang, Taeyang, Taegoon, Kim Na Young, SNSD, Boom, Super Junior.

EDIT: Oh yeah and everyone should watch the games!  Especially the first one, if only for Taemin smashing his gourd into his opponent’s face or Jung Ah taking Tiffany out in 2 seconds >:D!!!

Round 1: 2PM v. SHINee. 2PM kicked off the show with a alsjdfklsjklf;asldjk performance to flo-rida’s ‘Low’.  HOTTTT!   Their moves are sick.  And Jay s-lo-w-l-y tearing off his shirt was the icing on the top ♥.  YUM.  SHINee performed H.O.T’s ‘We Are The Future’ ~ they nailed it!   Especially Taemin in the dance break, even though his hair was the most lulz-y thing I’ve seen in a while.  (Winner: 2PM.)

Round 2: Wonder Oops v. A Bang (parody).  Not the real Big Bang or Wonder Girls lol, but people (I don’t recognize anyone in the Big Bang performance, but some of the people in the Wonder Girls performance — I’ve seen them on gag shows before XD) performing their songs ‘Lies’ and ‘So Hot’ respectively.  HILARIOUS!!!  Especially the Wonder Girls one; I almost hacked a lung during the rap!!  They were dancing up to SuJu (who all had their hands up in defense, like “NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO DON’T TOUCH ME!!”) and later SNSD (lol Sooyoung is so transparent with her “ew” expression ♥) . (Winner: A Bang.)

Round 3: Seungri v. Taeyang.   ♥______________________♥  I was just catching up on Seungri’s ‘Strong Baby’ performances before this and alsjdkflsjfklds holy shit!   I bet his bandmates are pretty jealous he gets to dance with all those girls, lol.  And TAEYANG!   Love him, love him!   (Anyone catch Yoona’s expression when he lifted up his shirt?  That’s a fangirl spazz!  HAHAHAHAHA oh I’m loving that girl a lot these days :* ♥.)  Taeyang’s little smile at the “FREEZE!” was sooooooooooooooooo adorable ♥.   (Winner: tie!)

Game: I don’t really know what’s going on, but um they’re stuck in these little bag things and have to hop around and smash their gourds on their opponent’s head…?!?!  Really funny, though!  LOL.  Taeyang and Seungri’s matchup was hilarious, especially with Taeyang prancing around all Kirby-like.  alsdjfks he’s so cute ♥♥♥.   ALSO I EFFING LOVE PARK JUNG AH.  LOVE HER SOMETHING FIERCE ♥.  And it’s not cause she knocked out Tiffany lol (>:D), it’s cause she did it in like 2 seconds like WHAPAM!  AND THEN SHE JUST SHOOK OUT HER HAIR LIKE “YEAHHHH~ I JUST PWNED HER.”  ♥____♥  THIS IS PROGRESSIVELY BECOMING ALL CAPSLOCK, BUT TAEMIN v. OH JI HUN HAD ME IN STITCHES.  TAEMIN SLAMMED HIS GOURD INTO THE POOR GUY’S FACE XDDDDDDDDDD.   SOUND EFFECTS FOR THE WIN.

Round 4: . Kara v. Taegoon.  I love Taegoon!  Great performer and his little smiles kill me each time alsjdfkls.  He danced to the intro of Madonna’s ‘4 Minutes’ and then his own song, ‘Call Me.’  Very sexy.  Kara looked as pretty as dolls in those pink wigs :).  But dancing-wise?  Taegoon should have won, hands down!  (Winner: Kara)

Round 5: Shin Young v. Na Young.   HAHAHAHAH LOVE THESE TWO LADIES!!!  Na Young was hilarious with her silver helmet thing, but Shin Young OWNED with an amazing parody of ‘Rainism’ … “Shinism”!  HAHAHAHAHA!  FREAKING LOVE HER SOMETHING FIERCE SLDJFS;lSJFE:SDLfjkl:LSKFJ ♥.   “CHEESE STICK” AND “MILKSHAKE”!  OH MY GOD I ALMOST DIED WHEN SHE STARTED EATING THE “MAGIC STICK” LOLOLOLOLOL.  After her dance was over, she started singing all these hit songs and replacing the lyrics with food items lol.  (Winner: Shin Young)

Round 6: Jewelry & V.O.S v. SNSD.   I don’t watch SNSD’s performances on music shows as I’m not a big fan of their songs, but those girls can definitely dance.   For example, I think I’ve seen most of their “Into the New World” remix performances cause the choreography is ace.  And I love seeing Hyoyeon in her element ♥.   SHE WOULD ALWAYS DANCE IN THE MIDDLE IF I HAD IT MY WAY (although I do love Yoona too and she’s also a great dancer, lol).  I also gaggled at Sooyoung’s endless legs, no lie.   They all did extremely well ♥.   And Jewelry and V.O.S!  alsjdkfsalsjdkfl;alsdjfs Hyun Joon kills me *___*.  And the dancing with Jung Ah (really, my undying girlcrush forevs *__*) killed me some more.   Jung Ah wears her sex appeal on her sleeve, yum.  Did you catch Jonghyun jamming along?  ^^  (Winner: Jewelry & V.O.S)

Round 7:  Yoon Suk v. Boom.  LOLOLOLOL!  Yoon Suk danced to JunJin’s “와” and even earned a hug from him at the end of the song :D!  Boom danced to Kara’s ‘Pretty Girl’ XDDDD.  LOVE THE PELVIC THRUSTS HE THREW IN AT THE END.  TO THE RHYTHM OF THE SONG TOO!!  alsjdfkls ♥♥♥♥♥♥ (Winner: Yoon Suk)

Game 2:  A monkey bars battle ^__^!  Jay (he and Chansung are my favorites in 2PM hehe) and Eunhyuk went against each other, but first … more sexy dancing.  Although Eunhyuk was more awkward than anything else lol.  I love him ♥.  Then Shin Young v. Sooyoung — love them both!   Poor Shinyoung couldn’t reach the bars, though XD;;.  Then Seungri v. Jong Hwan, LOL EETEUK WAS GETTING A KICK OUT OF SEUNGRI’S DANCING.  Then Oh Ji Hun v. Shindong (with his very nice toe socks).  Ji Hun breathes into Shindong’s face and wins easily as Shindong lets go to hold his nose XD;;;.  Then Jewelry’s Ju Hyun v. SNSD’s Yuri (I love how Boom tries to dance with Yuri and the MC shoves him away like “GET OUTTA HERE!”).  Then KARA’s Seungyeon v. Na Young … that got kind of vicious ^__^.

Round 8:  SS501 v. Super Junior.  I love both of these groups so very, very much ♥.   SS501 (Kyujong, Hyungjoon, Youngsaeng) took the stage first and were awesome!!  Love the thing they did with those silver handkerchiefs (?) and then how they all had their own mini stage.  Hyungjoon really stood out a lot to me ♥♥♥.  I LOVE HIS HAIRRRRR.  And I’m gushing now, but I love the whole concept!  I want to see them do more of this lol.  Super Junior (Eeteuk, Shindong, Sungmin, Eunhyuk) were also totally awesome … very, VERY creative dance, imo.  Loved the videogame music in the beginning and the power dance and alsjdkflds EVERYTHING!  They were great ♥.  Best performance of the whole show, imo, and I swear that’s not just my bias speaking.  GUH HURRY UP AND MAKE YOUR COMEBACK ALREADY.

Winner:  Lee Hwee Jae’s team :).  Great dancing from everyone ♥.  And not like anyone cares, but my favorite performances were by SuJu, Taeyang, and ShinYoung ♥.

  1. OMG This was awesome <33~

    2PM vs Shinee: Dang, 2PM’s moves were HAWT. And, OMG, whoever tore off his shirt had ROCK HARD ABS. CHISELED ABS. *nosebleed* Which, apparently, Crown J also has (according to my reliable source of Lee MinWoo in the shower xDD). Shinee was super cute doing the H.O.T. dance ~~ AND LMAO THEIR HAIR. Taemin (although he did have the 90s cut) and Minho looked okay, but OnKeyHyun looked like they just walked out of an chemical explosion. WTF. They both were great, but in terms of dancing, 2PM won. It would be a bit pathetic if they didn’t, after all, they are a dance group.

    Wonder Oops vs Ah Bang: They were both HILARIOUS. I loved Ah Bang’s rendition of Lies. (BTW, Ah Bang is made up of announcers) Wonder Oops completely killed So Hot. I think it could have been amazingly awesome, but they took it a bit too far. Or maybe they succeeded, if their goal was to make me writh in pain while watching them. But GUYS DRESSED UP IN SKIMPY LEOPARD PRINT ATTIRE + FREAK DANCE + SUPER JUNIOR AND SNSD = MAJOR WIN. That part I loved XDD

    Seungri vs Taeyang: Both were great <33 And yes, Yoona has the greatest expressions ever. XD They kept showing clips of her whenever skin was exposed, LOL. Did you see her when that guy in 2PM started ripping off his shirt? SHE COVERED HER EYES AND THEN PEEKED ROTFLMAO

    Game: The game was great, but DANG Taemin is violent. Note to Self: Watch out for Taemin on game shows.

    Taegoon vs Kara: I loved Taegoon! ♥♥♥ His traditional dance was really great. His jump was brilliant, especially the gentle way he landed. AND HIS SMILE *swoons* I think this may be the first time ever girl agrees on something; I seriously doubt anyone could be an anti of that smile. I mean, sure, people can be anti-Taegoon, but they can’t possibly ever be anti-Taegoon’s-smile. He should have won. Kara was okay, but his dance rocked and PWNED them.

    Shin Young vs Na Young: ROTFLMAO! SHINYOUNG + RAINISM = GREATEST GIFT TO MANKIND I loved how it was all about food XDD (CHEESE STICK!!!!) *dies* And to top it all off, she can actually dance!

    Jewelry & V.O.S. vs SNSD: SNSD’s dance was great~ V.O.S. danced well to Taeyang’s Only Look At Me. Dang, Big Bang is getting really popular. I mean, I always knew the were one of the hottest stars of 08, but I never realized that that also included being popular within celebrities. So many people were dancing to their songs! It’s one thing to be super popular and everyone knows your name and songs (for example, TVXQ/DBSK/THSK/etc.), but for even celebrities to all know your dances and enjoy your music? Wow. Only WG and BB have been able to achieve that so far. And LMAO Jonghyun was the cutest thing bopping his head (completely out of rhythym LMAO)

    SS501 vs Super Junior: Personally, I think SuJu should have won. I’m a bigger Double S fan, but SJ’s dance was extremely creative, and they had Hyukjae, which I think is reason enough. LOL But KyuJong ♥ looked super hot and so did the other two. Now if only Jungmin was there to roleplay Hyori *shot*

    I LOVE THE SHOW. It had so many celebrities I like dancing, which I really love. <3

    Epic comment :) A few things I wanted to comment on:

    OnKeyHyun looked like they just walked out of an chemical explosion —> LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL ESPECIALLY ONEW! I was like, SON, WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU?!

    On Yoona: isn’t she just the cutest thing? lajsk I can’t believe I used to not like her so much (has a lot to do with her being so :| in SuJu’s MVs) but ever since YAMD and recently, she’s really been growing on me. Very cute. The cameraman seems to love her a lot lol.

    I think Taeyang and V.O.S’s Hyun Joon are close friends! I remember reading that they hang out together quite often, and I fangirl that so hard because I love both of them so much~. And HyunJoon has danced to that song before; I can’t remember where though ^^;;.

    Was there a winner announced for SS501 and SuJu?? I must have missed it lol. I loved both dances, but I, too, would give the edge to SuJu! VERY creative dance *__*! And perfectly executed too.

  4. teeheee what do you know a dance battle w/ actual winners! i wish sbs was like this =P but ommmmmmmmmmg there are too many good dancers in kpop it sure takes way more than someone like me to judge the winners, they all look good to me hehe

  5. ^ INORITE, IT’S AMAZING. I wish some of those results had been switched around though lol. But ditto, I have like two left feet so everyone looks good to me :)

    I’m going to weasel my way out of that one and just post this very awesome Jaejoong fancam I found while surfing youtube ;;; there are seriously not enough hours in a day :|

    UNFJUNGUDFNJ I ASK MYSELF THE SAME QUESTION PRETTY OFTEN. ACTUALLY VERY OFTEN, which is not a good sign! :| I get exhausted just thinking about it and lol I probably will be in a bitchy mood (i.e. not a good person XDD!) all of next school year, so of course I can’t give up on kpop <3. It’s my druggggggg. School is exhausting … I feel your pain. Good luck with everything, yeah? :)

  6. lol!! Taemin has gone emo on us XD!!! and oMG! i got so excited seeing Taegoon there! the MCs were so awesome too!! i love it when the MCs are that energetic and happy and jumpy, makes me energetic and jumpy too!~
    2PM is AWESOME!! i was gawking at them the whole time!! they are such awesome dancers! and i love low! that song always gets me moving~
    Shinee was great!! i couldn’t help but laugh at taemin’s hair though XD

    LMAO!!!!! the parodies were so funny!!! i almost choked a gummy bear!! they were so off beat at times IDEK!!! it killed me! and POOR SUJU!!! LOL!!!

    I liked seung ri’s and tae yang’s dance, and i think i’m gonna call their dancing “expressive” XD i think taeyang should have won though.
    LOL!!!! hAhahaahhahAHAHAHAHA!! that game thing they played is so funnyy!!!! *choking on gummy bear*

    taegoon’s perf was so cool! he is just so cool~ :D
    Shinism!! LOL!! that had to be my fave perf of the day!! it was just down right awesome!! i love her for doing that!!

    SNSD’s performance was really good! i love watching hyoyeon dancing! she is such a great dancer! Jewelery and V.O.S was soooo hot dancing together! which called for more gawking at the screen~

    wahhahahahahahah!!! Yoon Suk got tired performing, he looked so out of breath!! XD and its nice to see JunJin..i haven’t seen him in a while now.
    BOOM’s perf was win!! total win!! and he is a very pretty girl indeed XD!

    the second game wasn’t as funny as the first but it was still hell funny!! ^^ i am not used to seeing eunhyuk do those kind of moves XD! he got into suck weird positions on the monkey bar and i love his socks!! <3 Shinyoung is so funny i can’t explain!!
    Eeeteuk asdfghjkjhl!! he had to go and laugh into the mic didn’t he!! his laugh is what made me laugh at seungri’s dancing! and na young’s dancing kinda freaked me out XD she is so hilarious!

    SS501 was soo good!! wow!! as mush as i love seeing these three doing their thing…i really miss seeing the other two :( but LOVING Hyunjoong in boys before flower SO MUCH! that i don’t really mind XD
    SuJu’s dance was totally original!i loved every second of it!! I NEED THAT 3RD ALBUM NOW!!

    i’d say my fave thing abt this show was the reactions that the celebs were making in the crowd while all the games and perfs XD

    lol at taemin’s hair! his hair might have been strange but his dancing was excellent~ haha.
    and suju’s dance was awsome! i love how CREATIVE their dances are~ it makes me love them so much more. PLZ COME BACKKK!!!!!~~~

    SNSD was definately one of my favs. i always love watching their dance stages. the girls are definately GOOD! i may not know a LOT about them but i know that they are great performers/dancers.

    PS: does anyone know where i can DL this? preferably in a simpler format that doesnt require a bunch of special programs to play it~~~

  9. I love Taegoon’s dance too! It’s a major plus that he grew up with Jaejoong…I wonder if he also carries a little of JJ’s weird humor ;)

    And Shin Young will always rock my socks! She’s a bit underrated, imo and I’m glad there’s someone who acknowledges that she’s awesome sauce.

    On a tangent…I love reading you spazz all the time!! You’re so so cute! It’s always a great pick me up after I’ve had a long day and come to read about you getting giddy…just wanted to let you know that it really makes me day.

    I liked SNSD dance lots and SuJu’s dance was the best thing ever – especially if we compare it to SS-501. I’M NOT BASHING, OMG, it’s just if SuJu lost to 2PM I would say “Oh” and nod (because 2PM’s dance was CRAZY). But SS-501 were not really… interesting. Just sexy. I don’t like sexy in dance battle because they are sexy permanently, I want something more. Do I make any sense? XDDD

    I think Taeyang should have won too. I like Seungri, but Taeyang definitely owned him. So sexy~! Even Yoona approves xD.

    Eunhyuk is a fast monkey :D. Felt bad for poor Jaebum though; I’m sure he got a nice whiff of Eunhyuk’s socks and I doubt that’s very pleasant XD.

    It really was hard to pick a favorite, but I’m gonna go with SuJu cause their dance was just so creative! And flawless <3. I WANT THEM TO COME BACK TOO! I never realized how much I missed them dancing (especially Shindong and Eunhyuk) until now ;__;

    SNSD was indeed fantastic <3. I thought the stage got too messy when all of them were in there, but the part where they were dancing 3 (Hyo, Yoona, Yuri) and 6 (the rest) was pretty awesome <3. And the tall girls dancing the first part of ‘Circus’ was great!

    Can you use clubbox? I’m sure cashewmania probably has the whole show uploaded by now :*.

    XD! I just realized that all of the SM artists lost lol. perhaps! Interesting~ I think the audience votes, too. And I think you make sense ^^. I also thought SuJu had the best performance of the whole show *___*. SS501 was great too (and I think a lot of people were *___* @ them trying something like this, cause I’ve never seen them dance like that before — that hip hop style) but creativity-wise, SuJu was better. Love both of them though ♥.

    I watched the whole thing, but the first game where they dressed as little treasure pouches and smashed gourds over one anothers’ heads killed me. Especially since my dad used to grow those gourds, so I know how hard some of them are. >.<

    BUT! TAEMINNIE~~~! ♥_♥ I seriously about died when he went "POW~!" with his gourd. A-and I have to admit…I was totally thinking ‘Dude…Taemin has Heechul’s violent tendencies…o.O’

    and can i just say I’M SO HAPPY THAT YOU JUMPED ON THE 2PM BANDWAGON! XD i so love watching these boys dance, all their choreography is like poetry in motion i swear. it’s not just 7 boys dancing the same thing, there’s real thought to the paterns and visuals. awesome.

    ah, what else? so many awesome moments. taeminnie’s hair lol, totally reminded me of eeteuk imitating kangta on star king hahahahah <3 taegoon is totaly channeing hangeng, so beauitful. i didnt know he was a ‘proper’ dancer. the big bang parody was actually kinda scarily spot-on XD and i rally enjoyed the SNSD dance, those girls are SEX-Y! i lolled a bit at the choice of song tho.. (and i think yoona and yuri really look like each other, haventchanoticed?) and suju. love their experimental dance thing that they got going on. i think shindong is really into this style. it’s fresh.

    FORREALS <33 I think that was like the best part of the show, lol! People seem to be watching mostly the performane cuts, which is too bad! More people need to see this XD.     Suju was awesome. Watching it made me realize just how much I miss seeing SuJu dance ;__;

    Too bad Taeyang and Seungri got 50/50, I was hoping one of them would win, whichever one..but yeah, they didnt talk that much, did they? euh..lol

    SNSD was cool. I really like it and I didnt realise that yuri and taeyeon were even in it but Tiff’s hair is long now??? thats pretty quickk..and lovesss Yoona’s expression. I also think Taegoon should have won. He was so cool. Nice dance, nice moves. everythings nice but yeah i have to say…SUJU wawwww…

    whos the dude from 2pm that ripped off his shirt? nice body..hahaha. but they were great too. love it.
