100 Day Beijing Olympic Countdown

♥ Beijing Welcomes You! I don’t listen to enough Chinese music to know who alllllll these people are in the first clip, but I did recognize a bunch of them! It’s like a ‘who’s who’ of Chinese music :D! And it was a really lovely performance ~ nice display of unity, which is very much needed to steal the fire away from the controversy surround the Olympics :/. Anyway. Spazz time! Not everyone, though, because that would take too long… I WENT PRETTY NUTS WHENEVER I SAW SOMEONE I KNEW OR EVEN SOMEONE WHO LOOKED REMOTELY FAMILIAR XDDDDD. Wang Lee Hom @ 00:20 ~ what an adorable smile ♥___♥. I nearly flipped my computer over when I saw Jackie Chan pop up at 00:53, hahahaha. HANKYUNG SINGS AT 1:35 :DDDDDDDDD. He looks super handsome. I’m really proud of him. My Chinese music love and #1 solo artist ever, JJ Lin, sings at 2:43 ♥. He’s so cute. So, so, sooooo cute sjkdlfjklsfekdls. (And needs to release a new album soon…) You can see Zhang Li Yin at 4:51, looking pretty and lovely as ever ^____^.
(So, the description in the video says that Andy Lau and Jay Chou are also there, but lol I fail cause I can’t find them! When do they sing? :) And is that Jolin Tsai singing at 1:07? She looks cute. I think I saw Karen Mok somewhere in there too! ♥!)
♥ 兄弟干杯. This is full of Hankyung so do watch! (And someone please enlighten me on the other artists singing ~ I can’t recognize any of them XD. Some of their voices sound familiar though… I can’t match voices with names, boo.) Camera loves him; he gets a lot of lingering close-ups :DDD. Hankyung hwaiting ♥~. Anyone else feel immensely proud of him? I feel like a proud mama and I’m two years younger than him, lmao.
EDIT: Music video for ‘Beijing Welcomes You’! Another chance to play spot the artist 8D! The MV is well done, especially since they had to fit so many artists in there! Hankyung’s part is from 1:52-1:57. And JJ Lin (yes, I really do love this boy) is from 2:58-3:10. Cute as EVER! Please to be releasing a new album soon ;___;.

Admittedly, all of us have a special something for Korean boybands, so expect a looooot of DBSK, Super Junior, SS501, F.T Island, etc ♥. We take huge joy in making fun of them but IT’S ALL OUT OF LOVE OK. No hate. The posts are incoherently spazzy about 95% of the time.

I really like the second song. The only person other than Hankyung that I know is PETER HO THAT HOTTIE! :] I saw him in some drama a long time ago and that he was sooo effing hot. He’s the one that’s second to last.
In the first song, I cannot believe that they fit so many people in there to sing!!
First person I recognize: WANG LEEHOM! <3
Second: the lady wearing the adidas jacket. I don’t know her name but she’s really famous because she’s a really good singer, but not only that she’s known for having that “typical” image. But she’s really and amazing singer.
Third: Was that Andy Lau at 00:35. ionno. But he looks familiar.
Fourth: JACKIE CHAN! hahaha
Fifth: 1:07 I believe that is Jolin Cai. She’s really, really pretty and I’m totally jealous of her looks.
Sixth: HANKYUNG! He got lots of cheers!
Seventh: 1:50 I believe that girl’s name is Karen… something. haha. I don’t remember!!!
Eighth: The guy at 2:01 seems so familiar, but I can’t place him at all.
Ninth: 2:09, I hear this guy a lot at on t.v. on Chinese New Year Festival program.
Tenth: JJ Lin! He’s such a cutiepie!!!
Eleventh: The girl at 3:11, Xia Yu Qiao aka Kimi Hsia. I had no idea she sang! I saw her in a drama with Joe Cheng.
Twelfth: i believe Terri Kwan is the girl at 4:42. She’s really pretty. She’s in a new drama with Vic Zhou. Don’t know much about her though.
Thirteenth: ZhangLiYin!ZhangLiYin!ZhangLiYin!
Fourteenth: 4:18 Man. I was looking for this guy!! I don’t know his name. Nor can I find it. –;;(Wow. Fail) But he sang this now classic chinese song that everyone knows called “Wan Wan de Yue Liang” It’s a really pretty song.
Man, I was looking for Jay and Nicholas Tse, and F.I.R., and some members of 5566. Maybe i wasn’t looking hard enough. hmm…
Thanks for helping me out with the artists! :) So I was right about Jolin Tsai at 1:07! I’m not a fan of her music, but she is undeniably very pretty.

The first singer was Stefanie Sun, she’s amazing! You should try out her music sometime if you haven’t already :)
The one at 0:35 is Emil Chau, and 2:01 is Nicholas Tse! Who appears again… somewhere, I can’t remember lol. But he appears twice! :D 4:42 is actually Fanfan (Fan Wei Qi), who’s another amazing singer.

thats really cool cos he was my senior in junior college! (but many years ahead of me, lol, he was my teacher’s classmate) and he came back in 2006 to perform when we moved to a new campus… I’ve got the video somewhere (he performed Cao Cao and… another song I can’t remember), I uploaded it before on yt but that was before my account got suspended. LOL. comment me if you want it and I’ll go find it for you! :D
the newspapers today had a blurb on the front page about the olympics 100 day countdown, so i said a little prayer while i was turning to the correct page. unfortunately, hangeng’s face was not staring up at me. they showed pics of some chinese acrobatics show instead. boo. =P

WAIT, REALLY?!?!?!? :DDDDDDD! He’s my #1 solo artist ever <3333333333333. I’m so happy to hear he’s really nice in person too! I’ve never been fortunate enough to meet/see him perform live, but he does seem really cute and modest and down-to-earth in most clips I’ve seen of him. I love that about him :D.
And omg, I’d be really interested in that video, if it’s not too much trouble for you to find it ^^;;. HE SANG ‘CAO CAO’ EH? I think that could possibly be my favorite song ever; it’s my top-played song on iTunes anyway :).

Lol, I had a competition with my parents, on who could name the most people (we are a sad sad family) and my mum PWNED. Seriously, MY MUM KNEW EVERYONE IN THAT VIDEO. Actually, that’s not fully true, the only person she didn’t know (out of everyone who sang) was Hangeng =.=”””’
The guy who sang just before Hangeng, is a really popular actor in China, I’ve watched random episodes here and there of the dramas he’s been in, and he’s really good :DDD I also saw ANSON HU *—* Lin ZhiLing (TW supermodel), Gigi (singer), another male actor, Eason (HK singer?), and Nicholas Xie (HK actor).
Jay Chou was there, he performed his new song :DDD Ooo, and Leehom composed a song for the olympics, must go hunt that down….
And yes, Beijing Olympics is a time for celebration~! Where’s your asian pride, everyone :P The controversy surrounding the Olympics is really interesting, though, I did my whole assignment on it XDDDD I’M SUPER COOL.

ASIAN PRIDE, WOOT! And yeah, the controversy surrounding the Olympics is sort of train-wreckish. I can’t stop reading about it and voicing my opinions on forum boards, but at the same time, I’m kind of alarmed that the Olympics won’t be about the Olympics anymore and more like a political statement. Still can’t wait though!

^ just my two cents, i dont know stephanie sun’s music well, but i saw her performance of ’shen qi’ (”magical”, i think?) at the mtv asia awards a couple of years ago and the song is FAN-TAS-TIC. it has an indian world music feel to it. check it out.
