Pimp Post: V.O.S

I’ve been meaning to get this post up for a long time now and I had better do it now before my Spring Break is over *cries*. LOL.

Anyway, V.O.S (Voice of Soul) is an amazing Korean R&B/ballad group, made up of three members: Park Ji Heon (박지헌), Choi Hyun Joon (최현준), and Kim Kyung Rok (김경록). I’m going to abuse “♥” a lot in this post because omg I LOVE THEM. Definitely one of my favorite groups out there; all three members are very talented vocalists. I believe they’ve all done a few solo projects or collaborations outside of V.O.S as well (like that Friendship collaboration with Monday Kiz and Ilac was incredible *____*). Lovely melodies, amazing harmonization, what’s not to love? Please do try them out. If you like Shin Hye Sung, Group S, Fly to the Sky, SG Wannabe, etc, you’ll love these guys. If you like R&B and ballads in general, you’ll love them. I die for R&B and ballads so I’m crazy about them.

I am very, very fond of their 2nd album, Blue Castle. Hands down, one of the best CDs I own, from any group. I thought it was even better than their sparkling debut album (unfortunately, out of print) and one of those rare albums where I love all the songs on it and don’t have to skip anything sdjfkldsj ♥♥♥♥♥. I will never get tired of their first two albums or their special singles, but I admit I’m getting really antsy for a third album from these guys. Especially since Blue Castle was released back in November 2005! The wait has been excruciating.

SONGS:
I’ve uploaded eight songs to try out in this ZIP: Time Limit (시한부), Hiding (감추려), Please Remember (기억해요), Is That All Right (그게 되나요), Look Into My Eyes and Tell Me (눈을 보고 말해요), Please .. (부디..), The First Time, and 매일 매일 (Everyday Everyday). Love all of these songs, especially Please Remember (the part where they sing “cause you are the love of my life” is killer ♥), which I listened to like 100 times in a row while studying for finals, lmao. Very beautiful song. I remember reading one fan describing their songs as “pure” and heck yeah, I agree with that. Their voices are heavenly.

Also had to upload their solo songs from their 2nd album because homg ♥♥♥. Amazing. I love them in a group, but they could all be amazing solo singers as well. (In fact, I think Ji Heon is currently still promoting his Button (단추) single on music shows. He performed one of the songs on that that Inkigayo (with the DBSK special stage) a little more than a month ago and won the Mutizen for it ♥.) My personal favorite of their solos off the 2nd album is Hyun Joon’s Sweet Girl solo, so be sure to at least snag that one.

PERFORMANCES: Their live performances are always wonderful! They usually sound exactly like they do on the CD recording. I also really like how they all smile so much between their lines, lmao. Especially Ji Heon! He’s so cute ♥! Whenever it’s not his turn to sing, he’ll be like :DDD! at the audience.
♥ Music Bank; Everyday Everyday. ♥♥♥♥♥!! This is not an easy song to sing, imo, but they make it look so easy. I love all the vocal crazies at the end omg ♥. Flawless performance ~. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Hyun Joon’s ad-libbing in this. He does it effortlessly.
♥ Inkigayo; Time Limit. Sometimes I think I could listen to them forever and be perfectly happy. I love them. They need more love. AND THEY REALLY NEED TO RELEASE A NEW ALBUM. I want to see them on music shows again ♥. Wonderful live performance of one of their best songs, imo. More vocal crazies and amazingness ♥♥♥.
♥ Music Bank; Please... Ji Heon really gets to show off his voice in this one. Especially in the chorus where he gets to tackle all those falsettos. And he does it perfectly.
♥ Inkigayo; Please... SUBBED! The lyrics are really sad ;____;. But they are as good as ever osfjkdlfjojojdkfls ♥♥♥.
♥ Music Bank; Special Stage With SeeYa. Pretty recent special stage. It gave me chills when I first heard it, omg. Both groups are sooooooooo good. And it doesn’t help that they are adorable together, especially in the second song.
♥ Music Bank; Special Stage With Fly To The Sky. What an amazing special stage. FOAMING AT THE MOUTH HERE. OMG ♥. I have never seen this before until I started looking for videos to include in this post but sjdkfljdskl how the heck did I miss this?! AMAZING performance. I love them singing at each other.
